Somehow it came down from MS and it wasn’t a Windows Update. The app 100% wasn’t installed in the image.
Today all my Windows 11 22h2 Enterprise imaged desktops had Teams auto install itself. I havent used UltraVNC or RealVNC for some time, so unsure but I will likely try them out.We are a small IT Support team of 3 staff that are looking for an alternative to Teamviewer to remotely connect to our Business Computers in 2 remote locations and our local main office, we have been using Teamviewer successfully but we have been asked to see if we can come up with another option that would not allow users on their Business computers to see their password to the remote connect software as we do not want staff to be able to set the password for the software themselves OR have the ability to see the password so that they couldn't pass the password to an external person to allow them to connect to the users computer.Īre there any options that will let us Whitelist IP addresses that can remotely access our users/staff computers? This way we can setup our IT Support team with fixed IP addresses and then allow their IP addresses as the only IP addresses that can log into the users/staff members computer. Seems like TeamViewer was the only one that did all this? I've tried: Supports the disabling of remote input and blacks out the remote screens I found Remote PC - Which supports multi-monitor, but only 1 window at a time (I have 8 monitors on the remote systems) and it felt very slow with some lag. So those are out, unless I missed some options Thats the final straw and I'm done using the software.Ĭan anyone recommend a free TeamViewer alternative that allows for:Ĭonnect without using private IP's (NoMachine and LiteManager don't seem to support this and use the systems IP even if it's a private network / RFC1918 - 10/172/192). In addition to creating multiple accounts or using other methods to circumvent the "Commercial Use Suspected" blocking, today I go to use TeamViewer, only to find out that 'blank remote screen' and 'disable remote input' are now a paid feature.
I have been using TeamViewer (personal/free version) to connect from work, to my home servers.
